VTI’s advice for your trip to Thailand
Thai Embassy visa delivery leadtime information (http://www.thaiembassy.fr/fr/visa-rdv/infos-generales/):
4.1 The time from the submission of your file to the authorization (or refusal) of a visa is a minimum of one month. The delay may be longer depending on:
– The number of visa applicants over a certain period (long waiting time especially before Christmas and the summer holidays, for example);
– The type of visa requested and the nationality;
– The deadlines within which you can provide the additional documents requested by the Embassy, in the event that your original file is incomplete.
4.2 It is your responsibility to allow sufficient time for the visa application. The Embassy will not assume any responsibility if your visa is issued after your scheduled departure date.
4.3 You are advised not to submit your visa application more than 3 months before your intended departure because generally you must enter Thailand no later than 3 months from the date of the visa authorization
Electronic visa (obtained online):
Even if it is obtained online, the procedure is complex and the issuance of the Visa can take several weeks. Rarely less than 3 weeks… Take some headroom for your travel date!
