General information

To travel to Mozambique a Visa is generally required with a few exceptions.
Visa Travel International is an agency approved by the Mozambican consulate to assist you in your formalities and whatever the type of Visa you need.
To this end, you will find on this page all the information and answers to questions that will be useful to you in order to obtain your Visa.

Do you need a Visa for Mozambique ?

A Visa for Mozambique is compulsory except for nationals of the following countries (for a stay of less than 30 days): South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Congo (Kinshasa), Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Be careful, however, to inform yourself regularly about this exemption which can be questioned at any time by the authorities of Mozambique.
French citizens living in Reunion Island or Mayotte have the possibility to apply for a Visa at the Mozambique border only if providing proof of residence in Reunion Island or Mayotte, a return ticket, a hotel reservation as well as a letter of invitation (a translation of the documents into Portuguese may be requested).

Conditions of entry in Mozambique

To be able to enter the territory of Mozambique, the traveler must bring his passport with Visa as well as a return flight ticket. The results of a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours will also be needed.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Mozambique, the authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Mozambique

The Mozambique Visa is valid for 2 months from the date of issue.
You can stay up to 30 days on site with a single entry Visa and up to 90 days with a multiple entry Visa.

Documents to be provided : Visa Business

 

  • A scan of the double data page of the passport (signed valid for 6 months after the date of your return and having at least two blank pages)

  • 1 color ID photo scan (light background)

  • A letter of invitation from your correspondent

  • A return flight ticket (with the traveler’s first and last name)

  • A reservation from the hotel (stamped and signed) and proof of payment for your reservation

  • The latest bank statement extract (provide proof showing sufficient financial resources)

  • A copy of the residence permit for non-european people

Documents to be provided : Visa Tourism

 

  • A scan of the double page of passport data (signed original valid for 6 months after the date of your return and with at least two free pages)

  • 1 color ID photo scan (light background)

  • Proof of accommodation in Mozambique (stamped and signed) and its proof of payment or a letter of support to be sent by fax for family visits

  • A return flight ticket (with traveler’s first and last name)

  • Latest bank statement (provide proof of good financial resources)

  • A copy of the residence permit for non-European people
