General information
Since October 15th, 2021, the Egyptian consulate requires the presence of the applicant for the submission of his visa application file and for the withdrawal of his passport once the visa has been issued. Thus, Visa Travel international will unfortunately no longer be able to assist you with your consular procedures with the Egyptian authorities.
In order to help you better prepare your future application, on this page you will find all the information and answers to questions that will be useful to you in order to obtain your Visa. If this is not the case, we invite you to contact the Egyptian consulate, which can be reached by phone at +33(0)1.55.21.43.70.
Do you need a Visa for Egypt?
A Visa is compulsory to travel to Egypt except for nationals of the following countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen (if the stay does not exceed three months).
Make sure you keep yourself regularly informed about this exemption which can be questioned at any time by the Egyptian authorities.
The Visa can be obtained in three ways: from the Egyptian consulate in the applicant’s country of residence, online via the site Visa2egypt (for Tourism visa only) or on arrival.
–> We warn you about obtaining a Visa at airports which is not guaranteed and strongly advise you to get your Visa before your trip. In case of late arrival of your flight or your flight being delayed and therefore landing late at the airport in Egypt, the Visa desk at the airport could be closed.

VTI’s advice for your trip to Egypt
Watch out for deadlines!
You must make an appointment with the consulate to be able to submit your file and, between the time when you can reach them by phone to set a date and the fact that the initial processing time is not always respected, several weeks before you get your visa. So, take a margin between your Visa application and the date of your trip.
