VTI’s advice for your trip to the USA

WARNING to all ESTA holders!

If you have an ESTA but have subsequently traveled to a country on the US blacklist, such as Yemen, Syria, Iran or Iraq (non-exhaustive list and may varied at all times), then your ESTA is invalidated and you will not be able to use it to enter American soil.

A visa application will then have to be made to the United States Embassy.

Same goes for Cuba: if you travelled to this country with the passport for your application, you will then need a Visa (specific process).
