Since March 1, 2026, travelers arriving in Egypt and applying for a single-entry visa on arrival have been paying USD 30, USD 5 more than the USD 25 fee that was in effect until the end of February.
In practice, the passports of affected travelers still bear the standard USD 25 visa fee, to which a small additional sticker has been added stating: “+$5 / Surcharge Entry Visa Fee.”
According to our information, the increase applies exclusively to visas issued upon arrival at Egyptian airports and points of entry.
No changes have been reported at this time regarding:
– the electronic visa (e-Visa) that can be obtained before departure
– the visa issued by the Egyptian embassy/consulate
