To travel to Congo Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), a Visa is required.

French people wishing to travel to Congo Kinshasa for Business or Tourism must obtain a Visa before departure.

Do you need a Visa for Congo Kinshasa DRC?

A Visa is necessary for French people wishing to travel to Congo Kinshasa, whatever the reason.

Nationals of the following countries are visa exempt: Congo Brazzaville, Rwanda, Burundi Zimbabwe (please make sure when travelling this exemption is still valid)

Conditions of entry in Congo Kinshasa DRC

There are currently no health restrictions for entering Congo DRC.

Applicants must have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the territory, their Visa obtained before departure and a vaccination record attesting to the yellow fever vaccine.

Understanding the Visa for Congo Kinshasa DRC

Visas, whether for Single entry or Multiple entries and issued by the Embassy, ​​have a limited duration of six months maximum.

Documents to be provided : Visa Business

  • Passport whose validity must be at least 6 months after the end of the planned stay and containing two completely free pages (facing page)
  • Copy/scan of the double page of passport data
  • 2 original identity photos in color, identical, format 4.5×3.5 cms (no photocopy or scan).

Warning:

    • do not pay consular fees online,
    • complete the online visa application form

  • A detailed mission letter from the French company indicating the reason and dates of the trip (written on letterhead, stamp, signature)
  • Certificate or a letter of invitation from the representative in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This document must be legalized by a notary at City Hall as well as at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Proof of address in France (EDF receipt, rent, telephone, tax notice, etc.).
  • Scan/copy of the international vaccination booklet (yellow fever pages).
  • A copy/scan of both sides of your national identity card. If you do not have one, please write a sworn statement.
  • Foreign nationals (non-EU) residing in France: copy of your residence permit

  • Passport whose validity must be at least 6 months after the end of the planned stay and containing two completely free pages (facing page)
