General information
In order to travel to Vietnam, it is highly recommended to obtain a Visa or eVisa before departure.
French nationals wishing to travel to Vietnam are requested to obtain a visa before leaving.
The professional visa is issued to people who go to Vietnam for the following reasons: work, studies, internship, humanitarian activities, etc.
Visa Travel International can assist you in obtaining these Visas or eVisas.
Do you need a Visa for Vietnam?
Canadians, Belgians, Swiss and other European nationalities need an eVisa for any length of stay.
French, Italians, Spanish, Germans, British, Russians, Japanese, South Koreans, Danes, Swedes, Norwegians, Finns and Belarusians must obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) for a tourist trip to Vietnam lasting more than 45 days.
Since August 15, 2023, all countries can apply for the Vietnam eVisa. The online application system has been opened to all nationalities who can therefore apply for an eVisa for Vietnam and Visa Travel International can get you this eVisa.
The eVisa allows you to stay in Vietnamese territory for up to 90 days, with the possibility of multiple entries.
For any stay (Business, Tourism) lasting more than 45 days, a Visa is required.
For a short stay (<45 days) without Visa, you need a passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned exit and an exit ticket within 45 days.
To encourage business travel, the Vietnamese government has established a category of Visas intended for businessmen and women (investors are more specifically targeted), the procedure of which differs from that of tourist visas. This procedure is the responsibility of the immigration services (Ministry of Public Security).
The delivery times for these visas vary from 10 days to two weeks.
These business visas are subject to the following conditions:
- Have a partner in Vietnam (natural or legal person, Vietnamese or foreign).
- Presentation of a complete file from the company or supervisory body in Vietnam which endorses the business visa applicant with its authenticated registration certificates. The company must have completed the formalities with the immigration authorities and provided the applicant with a copy of the letter authorizing entry into Vietnam.
- The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
- Business visas are issued for periods not exceeding 12 months.
In order to obtain a Visa affixed in the passport for a professional trip, you must first obtain authorization from the Vietnam immigration office via your partner/company on site.
Conditions of entry in Vietnam
